I know that the price I paid is a BARGAIN for how many illicit hours of gameplay I've already enjoyed back in the day, and hopefully will again.īut on the other hand EA just really makes me not want to give them any money lol. Only for Steam to beat EA's OWN Origin in both prices, ease of use, and pleasantness of experience. What kind of makes me crazy though is how broken the game is, how much they charge, their 'listening' and in-game sales, their needless restrictions on how copies can be used/lack of compatibility, etc. I'm paying for convenience as well as the peace of mind that it's the 'right' thing. I don't even have to enter the key codes with Steam, it does everything for me with one click.
These days I don't even want to think about dealing with installing everything piece by piece, patch by patch, and THEN dealing with mods on top. I did pirate the game when I was a kid with that kind of time, lol. I just want to play the game I paid for in peace:( Navigate to C/Program Files/ Electronic Arts/The Sims 3/ Packages/ and drag awesome.package and aweconf.package (if you have it) into the folder. If you used the configuration tool for awesomemod do have 2 files to install? Simple way to do it. For these kind of mods, you'll still put them into your Documents > Electronic Arts > The Sims 4 > Mods folder, but you'll also need to make sure in your game settings that you.
The main difference, however, is that the file type will end in. Installing script mods is again, pretty similar to installing the other mods listed above.
From: finalfan911| #006 Also, how do I tell if the mod had been installed properly? I've played the game and couldnt tell if it worke I've played the game and couldnt tell if. This doesn't seem to be working for me, i installed the framework as instructions said to the main TS3 install folder, i installed the hack as instructions said, to the mod folder.
EA really frustrates me with the decisions they make sometimes. Oh well, I picked everything up really cheaply so it's just how it goes I guess. Too bad I can't give them to someone else to use since they're already activated. I wish I had known I'd be doing this before I bought the disks and registered the keys on my Sims account because I'll wind up with two copies of the base game and I think 3 EPs. So I guess I'll have to wait for the next Steam sale to pick them up again.:( Boo.
Two expansions were disk only but I don't think I can use them with the Steam copy, only Origin. I had almost all digital downloads, so it had to be Steam or Origin. I just uninstalled and reinstalled everything through Steam.
